Bulbs are not only important when it comes to lighting the house. They are important pieces in the interior decor of your home and the fact that they come in an interesting assortment of colours makes them even more appealing. The compact fluorescent lamps are made to glow and give a very beautiful light. Depending on the bulbs that you use whether 300W CFL or even a 13W CFL, each of them is ideal for the functions they carry out. Many people do not think much about the bulbs they use in their homes. It is however, important that you think twice before you buy your bulbs because wrong choices can not only hurt your pocket but your health as well.
The CFL bulbs have quickly taken over the market and phased out the incandescent lamps, which were considered to consume a lot of power. The 300W CFL give off such a bright glow that people use them for in-house planting. If you would like to grow your flowers and lack adequate space in the outdoors, then you can use the cfl bulbs to provide light for the plant. These may vary according to the needs of the plant where some may need 125W CFL, others may need 250W CFL, and so on. Just because you do not have a garden does not mean you cannot nurture your plants and care for them. In fact, in-house planting attaches some personal element to your gardening and if this is a hobby, then you will be more involved in the plant’s growth. The 13W CFL can also be used for the indoors whereby it could be used for the general lighting in the house. It is ideal because its strength is very friendly to the human sight and its glow also lights up over a bigger radius. The t8 fluorescent and t5 bulbs also come in very interesting shapes adding a whole new dimension to regular lighting. They can be used in the house and with the array of colours one can transform the look of the house by giving each room a totally unique look. Ensure that you do not get anything above 250W CFL for the indoors lighting because that may be too much for the function.
The bulbs are a bit pricey in some countries but the initial amount of obtaining them cannot be compared to the long term savings one makes. This is because the bulbs use very little energy and are often referred to as ‘energy saving’ bulbs. They have a longevity power of up to 15,000 hours unlike the incandescent bulbs, which have a lifespan of up to 1000 hours. They also use three to four less power than the incandescent bulbs. You therefore save on the energy you use and get to keep them much longer. They also have self-ballast, making it ideal for use anytime at any place since they can be easily plugged into any socket so you can use your 13W CFL bulb whenever you need it.
